Bulgaria, Golden Sands ´09. PART 1

 The song for the journey!

We started our trip to Golden Sands on 14th of July at 6 am.. It was a bit strange feeling to go with other Finnish people since it was my first trip abroad with travel agency! The first thing we noticed that we were the only ones getting off the bus at Vladislav hotel.. The elevator didn't work and the piccolo guy tried to get money from us without even carring our bags! :D Our hotel room was nice and then we went out to get to know the place and get something to eat since we were starving! Our hotel had two swimming pools so guess where we went after eating!? We found ourselves checking out four hot German guys and sunbathing and drinking ice cold Breezers.. We bought tickets to the evening's Foam Party which was actually held in our hotel and its swimming pool area.. We could basically forget about trying to get any sleep that night! :D First night out and even I was doing my hair and make up... We had been in the party for about an hour and someone pushed me into the swimming pool with all my clothes on....!! So much for the make up and hair.. Saija couldn't do anything but laugh! Next morning Saija woke up without her flipflop (I couldn't do anything but laugh!) which we eventually found from the swimming pool..

Planning our first trip with Saija in spring 2009

Me and Saija (who is my friend originally from junior high school so we have been friends since 2003) started planning our first trip abroad in the early spring 2009.. :) We decided to go to Bulgaria, Golden Sands destination because it wasn't too expensive. We didn't want to go to Sunny Beach because its reputation! Golden Sands, well.. it's similar to Sunny Beach but smaller and little more peaceful. Our planning was mostly comparing prices and different travel agencies. We ended up choosing Tjäreborg and we paid 783€ together for a 7 day trip.  We chose our hotel to be a youth hotel called Vladislav and we were a bit nervous whether or not we could sleep there at all.. Planning also included "practise" trips to Estonia, Tallinn by boat.. Altogether we went there for three times to shop, buy some cheap alcohol and to have a great time.

My very first trip abroad in 1990..

My very first trip abroad was in 1990 when I was only 5 months old! Since that trip to Greece, Poros I've been wanting to travel.. When I was little I used to love (still do) airports! The smell, the feeling of holiday, busy people all around the world, different nationalities etc.. With my family we used to go to Poros every single summer for the first 20 years of my life! I have many family friends there who I really miss sometimes! Last time I visited Poros was in the summer 2010 and I'm missing all the people and the island! Our friends got to see me and my sis growing up there. Poros is like an other home to me, it's like a summer gottage we never had in Finland. :)

First writing to my blog! :)

The first writing in my brand new blog! I've been thinking about writing about my adventures abroad for a while and now I've decided to do it! Well actually while me and my friend Saija have been travelling, we have been writing to our journal about our trips and now it's time to update the writings online! :) First I apologize on any mistakes I might make on spelling etc.. :P I have many friends all over the world so I made a choise to write mostly in english. :) Oh, and thanks to my friend Lotta for the awesome headline for my blog!
