Friday in L.A

I had been so tired that I hadn't even heard Melina coming in! Me and Ida went to our hotel pool to relax and enjoy the sun. At 10 am Melina comes to the door looking so tired and hangover announcing that she is still drunk! :D

Me and her walked to this famous In and Out burger with massive queus 24/7! Ida didn't come cause she didnt wanna eat burger. IT WAS SO GOOD! OMG. Never had that good of a burger. Fresh is how i discribe it.

After eating it was nap time to try to recover from previous night.. Then we left shopping to near by Ross and Marshall at hollywood blv. Melina left back to hotel at some point and me and Ida went to eat at this Baja place. My Bbq chicken salad was ruined with spicy sauce!! :(

We got ready to go out to see one of Melina's friend in this Mexican place with nice drink. I felt so much more comfortable with jeans on, sneakers on and a top. :) This bartender in that place was trying to hit on me all the time we where there offering me free drinks and asking my phone number.. :D

We left home early even tho I woulda been up for a night out with nice music playing in that sports bar!

Runyon Canyon and more

First and last time that we were up at that time, or woke up at that time anyway.. Our hotel was really close to Runyon Canyon so we walked there in the morning for 10-15 minutes and decided to do the long walk there! The sun was starting to rise and it looked amazing! It took us around two hours to do the hike with loads of stops to take photos! Check the pics below!

Back at the hotel we just took our wallets with us and left for this organic store called Sprouts with all kinds of food and make up etc. Not my place at all... After that was a make up store, while the girls shops i sunbathed outside..

We got back freshened up a little and then headed to eat at El Pojo Loco close by. Straight to Hollywood blv to Union Station from where this free bus to this massive outdoor outlet shopping mall Citadel left. We waited the bus around 45 minutes but it didnt matter cause we got to be in sun!! The journey took around 30 minutes there. It was MASSIVE.

We spent maybe 4 hours in there ! I bought three pairs of nike shoes and couple of shirts. Not much money to shop so i was glad to find them shoes like 130€ all of them..

Back at the hotel we got ready and left for Melina's friend Sky's place to Downtown. He happens to be this instagram / snapchat / youtube / facebook star called Tipsy Bartender.. Check him out on social media!

Our uber driver told us that she had given a ride to this young woman from Iran (some oil millioner's daughter studying business in LA) and that she had lived in Beverly Hills hotel for TWO YEARS already!! Cheapest room in there is over 600 dollars A NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

So Tipsy's place is a penthouse. 30th floor. You get escorted up by guards. That doesn't happen everyday...

He was shooting a video to youtube when we arrived and got to participate on it.. Oh man. I hate pictures not to even mention about videos. Well here it is.

After the akward video thing we went out to the helipad to check the skyline! Amazing. After Tipsy's place we went to this Playhouse bar, VIP of course. Didnt pay in. Free drink all night. (Read all WEEK! Thanks to Melina and her connetitions!)

So in the bars in LA it's all about showing up and showing how good looking you are.. Basically what I was told is that how you can spot tourists are that they are on the dance floor. The higher in the bar you sit the "bigger" person you are.. In all the bars we went during the week we got in as a VIP. So basically so rich people buy tables from the bar with this guy who tries to get it full of women. We sit there and they bring us free drinks.. Not bad. The prices of the vodka bottles were unbelievable :O not to talk about the table...!!

In all the bars and the toilets there was a woman working and there were snacks you could buy and parfume you could use..

Me and Ida were dead tired and left earlier back to the hotel since Melina's friend was there with her. We walked to our next door supermarket to buy all bad stuff like cheese for me ;) We started sleeping around 3.30 am.

The city of Angels spring 2016

So this idea for the trip got started quite fast at work. We had had loads of people quitting and new girls starting. Melina and Ida hadnt worked in our work place for that long and we had never hung out outside of work. Melina had lived in L.A. and wanted to go back for holiday. Ida had one week of holiday left that she needed to use. I, well i just joked that why wasnt i invited.. They had already booked flights and all and they told me to check if the same cheap flights where still there.. I did and i booked them basically within the same day they asked me to come! 420€ for return flights via Stockholm! A month before the trip! CHEAP! 

Before leaving on 31st of March we had quite exciting last night cause we had troubles with ESTA that was recommended to take 72 hours before departure.. Me and Melina had taken ours couple of weeks before but Ida had bought hers from some fake site and ended up having to close her credit card.. I took it for her a day before and everything was ok until the previous night when she noticed that her birthday was wrong on the ESTA.. She had accidentally written it wrong in whatsapp.. It added some excitement if they would left her into the countr when we took it only like 8 hours before departure from Helsinki.. 

I woke up at 4.45 and Ida and her boyfriend picked me up and we were at the airport at 6 am. 45 min flight to Stockholm and then to LA. We had wondered how the flights had been so cheap but in Sweden we found out that it was a new route that they had just started! The food on the plane was good, movies sucked tho! The plane was a new SAS plane and it was really nice! You could charge your phone on the plame and buy wifi if you wanted to. The flight took around 10 hours and 30 minutes. 

We arrived to L.A. 11.45 am and waiting on the customs line for 40 minutes. We all got into the country!  WUHUU! The guy at the desk was so tired of his job that we just laughed at how much we had scared that moment! We got our luggage instantly and we only waited for the flyaway bus for 10 minutes. It took us to Union station where we paid 9 dollars for the bus ride. 

From the Union station we took train to North Hollywood with the red line. We had to buy this tap card for 1 dollar and one journey cost 1.75 dollars. 

From there we walked through the famous street with them stars on the ground to our hotel in Sunset Blv. It took us around 15-20 with the luggage. The hotel was called Saharan motor hotel.  We walked back to Hollywood blv quite fast to do quick shopping in Marshall for shampoos etc. and I also found nice sunglasses from there. We walked almost alllll the way to the end of the street or at least what felt like it to this greek place to eat. I had problems with my credit card cause the swipe thing didnt work and they dont use the sim there yet. The woman put it manually and it worked. After the food we were exhausted! We took a uber back to hotel and went to take a nap before a party. The two hour nap was a bit longer since we werent able to get up again.. 

Used to be my all time fav when i was young!
