The Balkans - Greece, Lefkada

I arrived to Lefkada at 11 am and again, no one. Walked for a while and decided to sit down and book a hotel from online. I had searched this place called Vassilliki since these two famous beaches close by there that I wanted to see. Marios rooms 25€ / night for two nights. So the bus connections were so shit and the next and the last bus of the day was at 14.00. So I just sat there waiting for it for like three hours.. I met this guy from London on the bus and from my accent he thought im from England.. :D It took over an hour to go to Vassilliki. And OH, my own room!! Luxury.

I went to eat quickly and then started walking towards this beach but saw a sign for swimming pool! HEAVEN! Then at night I went to wander around and eat. The next morning it was cloudy so I went to this coffee place to work for 3 hours. Then I ate and decided to take this boat to Agiofili beach at 13.30, costing me 6€ return. There was really nothing there and it was super hot (not complaining..). The boat back was at 16.00 and before that I wanted to leave so I decided to walk back but there was this gate after 20 minute of uphill walk so I had to turn back.. So ended up taking that 16.00 boat back and it took maybe 10-15 minutes. The rest of the day I spent by the pool. At night I went to watch Germany – Sweden football.

The next morning I woke up early to see the weather and then left for a daytrip by boat paying 20€. The boat left at 9.30. First it was time to go to Porto Katsiki which was really cool! I didn’t swim cause it was windy and a bit cold.. Met this nice cute guy working there and talked with him for a while. 😊 Leaving from there we couldn’t go to Egremni beach since the waves were too big

Then we headed to Kefallonia, Fiscardo to spent some time. The captain of the boat (like 60 years old) was trying to come talk to me about anything all the time.. :D When leaving from there some rope got stuck in the propeller.. So we stood there for at least 40 minutes for them trying to get it out.. Eventually this big boss of the company who happened to be there with this other boat stripped down to his boxers and jumped into the water with a knife and dived in.. The next stop was in Ithaki, Polis Beach. At the port in Vassilliki we were around 18.30.

At night I went to see this guy from Amsterdam (got to know him in Tinder..). Such a nice guy! We went our for drinks and talked until 4 am! Waking up at 6 am wasn’t too nice.. The bus was at 7.05 and cost 3,70€ to the town. It took an hour to get there. Then I went to sit in this restaurant that wasn’t even open yet. At 9.30 this ticket office opened and went there to buy the ticket. This young girl gave me a student discount for 50% so I only paid 17,5€ for my ticket.

The boat left at 11.00 and it was the same boat that I came there with. I fell asleep instantly and woke up 2,5 hours later. The whole trip took around 5 hours so I arrived to Zakynthos at 16.00.

I had decided to skip Kefallonia even tho I really wanted to see the Melissani caves! Visiting Fiskardo and asking around there about the island and connection leaving from there and the busses etc. Everything was so difficult and went rarely and no one knew anything so I decided to skip it.. I still visited in Fiskardo in there tho..
