UK April 2014

Okey.. Got to admit that I've got no idea what to write since it's been two years.. :D

UK here we come

It was nice to see Steve's parents again and Katie of course!

We did a day trip to Skipton which is the gate way to the Dales

One night we went out with the boys.. And I drank propably the most shot I've ever drank!! Jagerbombs.. The next day we left for a day trip to York with Steve's parents, sister and her boyfriend.. I felt fantastic. Oh and in there we went to visit a brewery, so more beer that meant. :D

Finnish easter eggs are nothing compared to these monsters :D

Last English breakfast and it was time to go home :)

Autumn 2013 / Spring 2014

My mission for the start of this year 2016 (I know!!) is to write all my travels etc. up to date!

Here we go!

End of the summer 2013 me and Steve had seen each other's parents and had decided that he is gonna move over here to start his life after travelling here with me. :) I can't even describe how I felt and how fast everything happened!

We were apart for five more weeks which he worked and raised some savings to move over here. We knew it was gonna be painful to find a job at this economic state and we also had to live at my parents.. One brave man I would say. <3

On 30th of September he finally arrived! During the autumn we filled probably over 100 work applications, went to police to claim the official "yes" to stay here after three months was over, we went to tax offices, registration places etc etc etc.

All in all the whole Europian Union is bullshit!! People within EU get to come and go and work in different countries. Bullshit. We fought with some many people here in Finland that it was ridiculous how difficult everything was!! You couldn't get a social security number with out a job, tho you couldn't get a job without a social security number?!?! COMON!

At one office this woman behind the desk asked me if i was pregnant. Said that would be the easiest way. WHAT?!

All the papers that Steve got from police etc. were all in Finnish?!

You can't' buy a phone if you aren't a finnish citizen (with 12 months payment thing)?! You can't get same bus card as everyone else before you are registered as official citizen. You can't find a job cause all the job applications only have option that goes to our school system.. WHAT A JOKE!! Everything.

We managed. Don't know how. At one point I called my dad crying from the tax office begging if he could hire Steve so he would get a social security number and then get the job he had been offered. After that it took three hours and he had the number and the job. Unbelievable.

At the same time we were of course looking for our own place to move into. It took us three months and the first place I went to see was perfect We moved in January 2014 and it's still perfect. :)

The autumn included beer expo, amusement park, Stockholm and Tallinn trips, visit to Turku etc. :)
