Switzerland - New Year 2017

I met my friend Isabella at the airport since I flew in from Dublin and she from Helsinki! Our five day trip was about to start!

We found our way to our hotel after some struggle and trying to get in to same man's hotel room being sure it was ours.. The room was small but so so perfect! We had our own little kitchen which ended up being perfect expecially with them prices in Zurich..!! We got our pizzaa and wine ofcourse to the fridge and we even made some pasta food for us couple of times to save money. It was so so expensive.

Our hotel was around 20 minute walk from the center. The city was beautiful with all them xmas lights everywhere!

First things first before checking in to the hotel..

The casino was a good mark for us to find our hotel at nights!

Coming from Dublin, the land of fish and chips this was horrible to see the price diffrence! This was close to our hotel and ended up actually being the cheapest fish and chips..!!

The Giant's Causeway - Carrick a Rede - The dark Hedges

The next morning it was finally time for my next bigger trip! Everything was closed in Ireland for trips etc for couple of days during Xmas..

The next morning I flew to Switzerland to meet my friend Isabella for New Year's!

25th: 

Next morning it was Xmas day and I hang in the hostel and we baked cookies together! Most of us there were surprised that literally NOTHING was open. Thank god we found ONE pizza place in the center where we got some food in the afternoon.. At night we hang around in the hostel and laughed so much! Stayed up until 3 am with our xmas dinner.. ;)

Xmas 2017

The next morning I woke up to a beautiful day! Sun was shining and it was warm. I went upstairs to eat breakfast and just sat there enjoy the day! Pretty nice Xmas wheather (or 23rd it was)!

After eating I decided to walk close by to the Guiness Storehouse. I thought I could just go up to the view point bar but I had to pay in for the tour also.. I think it was around 20-25€ and it included a beer or a guinness upstairs. Perfect day for a viewpoint!

Then I just wandered around the city to see different churches etc. I tried to go to this main library which was supposed to be so amazing looking and actual tourist attraction! BUT it was close for the Xmas already :(

Proper home alone movie moment :D 

 I had my laptop with me so I went to this nice cozy little coffee place by the river to work for around 3 hours until I ran out of battery from my laptop!

At night me and this other girl from the hostel wandered to the pub where the one scene from the PS. I love you movie was filmed!

The next morning started with a hostel breakfast and then I left to wander the city once again.

As you can see there was quiet.. 

 Empty streets but the shopping mall was busy with all the people buying last presents!

By far the best place were I eat quite often! 

Afternoon beer and live music; PARASTA! 

I had always wanted to go to Xmas church so now it was the best time to do it! Me and some others left for the church at 22.00 at night and it took at least couple of hours.. It was boring tho. I would have wanted them to sing more and less talkinhg..
