Interrailing in Europe summer 2010: LONDON part 3

On a Monday morning we left early to see the Madame Tussauds museum. We had heard that there are loooong queues so we weren't  that eager to wait on lines.. We got there accidentally, we just happened to find it and there wasn't that long lines. We waited perhaps only 15-30 minutes max! I didn't find the museum that awesome, just some famous dolls standing, people were pushing and arrogant when they wanted to take pictures with the dolls. On the other hand they looked really real and we also took a few pictures. :) The best part was the scary tunnel! We had to walk through this corridor which was dark and had scary sounds.. There were real actors and actresses wearing all dark clothes and jumping from a hidden place in front of your face screaming and making creepy moves.. We also screamed a bit.. :P My second best part was this old-fashioned carriage ride which took the audience through the timeline and told about history and different incidences for example about the Black Death.
After seeing the museam we headed to the famous Camden town and its market. The place was huge! Almost like thousands (almost..) of little shops mostly selling lace thingy clothes and other stuff and also sooo many goth clothes. We wandered around there for many hours and I also happened to spot a shop which was used in one of the Olsen sisters movies.. :P

Back at the hostel we discovered a notification about a Pub Crawl happening that evening in the heart of London! We decided that we wanna go check it out! It was supposed to start 7.30pm. Accidentally we over slept our naps and woke up only 50 minutes before it was about the begin.. Well, we arrived almost an hour late and we were the first ones there. :D After hanging there for an hour the two people arranging the pub crawl told us it's not gonna happen because we are the only ones there. So they told us to go this bar called Zoo, well it was so early that it was still closed. We literally drifted around in a rain until one guy came to help us and asked if we were looking for something. He took us to this ticket office from where we bought tickets to this party on a club called Storm later on that evening. (we never went there..). Finally we found ourselves at some bar which door were already open! We went to sit there and spoke to each other until one bartender came to ask us: "what are you girls doing?" It turned out that the bar wasn't open yet.. some member of the staff had forgetten the door open when he had got in from a cigarette... Well we ended up staying in that bar for one hour drinking beer and dancing! :D What a wild night out!

Oh, it's not open yet..?
8th of June was our last day in London! The time had gone past really fast but we had also seen all the main sights we wanted to see. :) On our last day we went for a Hop on Hop off bus ride around the city, that way we could see some attractions again. :) We also had been wanting to do a Thames river minicruise. We got it free because it was included in buy-the-tickets-from-our-company-hoponhopoff :D The mini cruise lasted 30 minutes and we heard a lot of history which by now we don't remember any. :D but it was interesting. And we saw the first finnish people in that same cruise when we were waiting to get on the boat. It was quite irritating to hear finnish and we didn't speak a word to each other so they wouldn't understand that we were also from finland.. :D On our last day in London we visited a British Museum, yes we visited a museum and went inside..! :D where we got lost. Who gets lost in a museum?! we did. On our last pounds we bought something to eat and ended up literally without money so we had to ask from our australian friend Grace to give us a pound so we could go online. :D That was the first time we made our food (rye bread with chicken on it was the only thing we could afford) :D We started to pack our backpacks again and got ready to an early wake up the next morning. Our first pit stop went great and our journey got a fantastic start! Next we headed to PARIS!
