Breakfast looking to Lyon |
Our stop at Chambery took around two hours. Chambery is located in southeastern France. The view from the train window was really mountainy and beautiful. From the window we could see small houses and villages aloung the mountains. :) We didn't get that much to see at Chambery we only saw were it was situated. We went there to eat something and it ended up being quite difficult since the waitress didn't speak a word in english and the menu was in french.. Back on the train to Torino Saija tried to contact our new friends (Stefano and Lucas) from Milano which we met at the hostel in London.
So our train was on time when we arrived to Torino. It took as a while before we even got out from the underground tunnels. We had exactly an hour to find our way to Hostel TO which reseption closes at 10pm. We were supposed to find a bus number 10 which would go directly to our hostel. Well we never found it. No one (surprise surprise) spoke english and we asked from several people to help us. And the people who spoke english they didn't know. Time was going past fast. Finally we found a tram number 10 but it would have came too late. So I figured: Let's grab a taxi! At first we didn't find a taxi stand and when we did there were no taxis, not one! We had 20 minutes left. By this point we were sure that we would be spending the night on some bench or at some Mc'Donalds.. :D A taxi came, the driver didn't speak english.. We were supposed to go to Via Modane 17 he took us to Via Modane 70! We had less than 10 minutes left. We made it and even got beds, even got our own room with 4 beds. :D
The next morning we were planning to have a quick look at the city and then in the afternoon head to Milan! :)
